Business and construction specialist Cardium Law has hired Shuting Sun as its first Technology Director to lead on the firm’s ambitions to further utilise AI in the business.
Cardium’s CEO Matt Clark said: “Shuting will be analysing our technical capabilities and improving workflows. This new role is focused on enhancing systems by incorporating the latest AI-empowered technology, to make us a more competitive business that can outperform the market.”
Before joining Cardium, Shuting spent more than seven years with EY’s consulting practice, delivering global-scale transformation programmes for leading banking clients in both project and change management roles. Following a career break to focus on family, she now brings her skills to the legal sector, with a clear focus on innovation and improvement.
Commenting on her appointment, Shuting said: “Over the next two to three years, we plan to implement AI across seven key business areas. Given the legal industry’s highly regulated and service-driven nature, my focus is on mapping our existing processes and the technology landscape, while engaging with legal tech vendors to identify where innovation can deliver accurate and reliable value.”
