{"id":3328,"date":"2024-11-12T07:53:47","date_gmt":"2024-11-12T07:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cardiumlaw.com\/?p=3328"},"modified":"2024-11-14T14:40:17","modified_gmt":"2024-11-14T14:40:17","slug":"our-charity-for-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cardiumlaw.com\/our-charity-for-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Our charity for 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>We&#8217;re delighted to announce that our charity for this year is the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.anthonynolan.org\/\">Anthony Nolan Trust<\/a>, which works to save lives through stem cell research.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It follows this year\u2019s charity appeal raising \u00a33,625 for Crisis to support those experiencing homelessness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last 12 months saw us hosting a series of memorable fundraisers, from a glamorous quiz night at London\u2019s South Place Hotel to a festive Christmas party at Langan&#8217;s brasserie and a hilarious evening aboard the Comedy Boat on the Thames.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, looking ahead to 2025, the central London-based construction, business and finance law specialist is excited to turn its focus to the Anthony Nolan Trust, a pioneering charity that gives hope and a future to families affected by blood cancer and other blood disorders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Anthony Nolan Trust, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, has a remarkable history. It was founded by Shirley Nolan, whose determination to save her son\u2019s life inspired the creation of the world\u2019s first stem cell register.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although Shirley was unable to find a donor for her son Anthony at the time, her legacy lives on through the thousands of lives saved each year by the charity\u2019s work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, the Anthony Nolan Trust recruits stem cell donors aged 16\u201330, advances cell and gene therapies, and provides post-transplant care to improve survival rates and the quality of life for patients after treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every year, more than 2,300 patients begin their search for a matching stem cell donor. Thanks to their groundbreaking research and world-leading register, the charity facilitates lifesaving matches that give four people a day another chance to live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are delighted to support the Anthony Nolan Trust in 2025,&#8221; said Julie Clark, Cardium\u2019s Project Manager. &#8220;Their work is truly inspiring, and we hope to contribute significantly to their efforts in growing the stem cell donor register and advancing medical research.
