Cardium strengthens international capabilities with NYC visit

As part of Cardium Law’s strategy to build our international law network to support property and construction clients globally, directors Matt Clark and Chris MacQueen visited New York for a major legal conference.

Cardium already has international business relationships with clients based in the USA as well as Canada, Europe, the UAE, India and China, and we regularly interact with US citizens and businesses active in the UK.

Chris, who heads our Transatlantic Desk is dual qualified as a New York attorney and as an English solicitor so is well placed to help UK businesses in the US and vice versa. He is also exploring new partnerships in China.

Events

Matt and Chris travelled to the Big Apple for New York Arbitration Week and attended two events focused on construction and engineering.

    • Arbitration session on rare earth mining covering the legal challenges developing as the world moves away from traditional mining resources.
    • Seminar focusing on international construction hotspots and highlighting common issues in today’s global market.

New York Arbitration Week is run by the New York International Arbitration Center and the New York Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Cardium are members of IR Global, a multi-disciplinary global professional services network, and the International Bar Association.
